Here’s what people who have visited Golbang (골방) have to say about their experience.
It’s been a while since I had traditional liquor and the food and atmosphere were both absolutely wonderful! The lamb cream steak was pan-fried without any seasoning, which made it really delicious; the stir-fried sweet and sour pork had a crispy texture and was enjoyable to eat. The barley rice soju was a bit strong at first, but it was toned down with some drinks, so please be aware of that.
I visited this place on a friend’s recommendation. I arrived earlier than the reservation time, but was kindly allowed to enter. Reserved seats were properly marked. I intended to have a drink, but due to a cold, I just had cola. Out of the pickled radish and sweet and sour pork, I enjoyed the latter more because it was fried and crunchy. All the staff members were men but very friendly.
The menu at this place is amazing. The pickled radish and roasted beef were both really tasty. The sweet and sour pork was the best I’ve ever had. The rice crackers were also very crispy and delicious. The server frequently refilled my glass and was very kind, which I was grateful for.
Visited Seoul for the first time in a while, and this is the place I found out about. First of all, I was so hungry…I don’t have any food pictures. However, if you’re looking for a place in Munrae-dong or a date course, I definitely recommend this place. Although there are many best menu items, if I have to recommend something, it would be the sweet and sour pork and beef bibimbap. The combination is simply fantastic. Especially the sweet and sour pork, the crispy texture is something you can’t describe in words. As for the beef bibimbap, it was tender and crunchy. Pair it with a beer and all your stress will be relieved. I had a bowl of ramen because I was hungry, but the ramen was a bit disappointing…so I can’t recommend that. Nonetheless, I was very satisfied with this Seoul eatery.
I used this place for a blind date and it was really good. Starting from the lady who was very good at making reservations, to the dishes we enjoyed like the steak and beef, everything was perfect. All the way to gently served alcohol, it was a really nice place. Thanks to this, I was able to comfortably drop her off at home and write this review filled with gratitude on the way back.
