Savor The East: Donbunhwa, A Soaring Korean-Chinese Ride

Taste buds are dancing and eyes are sparkling throughout Apgujeong Rodeo these days, as fusion joyride takes a new turn.

Donbunhwa (돈분화)

Donbunhwa, a Chinese-casual dining stopover, is a brainchild of renowned Chef Ryu Tae-hwan, better known for his projects like ‘Dwaejang’. The name ‘Donbunhwa’ is a clever mix of ‘Don’, meaning pork, ‘Bu’, referring to shrimp, and ‘Hwa’ implying harmony – a pure manifestation of the restaurant’s extensive menu comprising exotic seafood delicacies, Orient-spiced pork, and much more. The vibrant aqua-driveway of the restaurant, teeming with colorful lobsters and quirky posters of Hong Kong movies, all blend harmoniously to elicit a local Hong Kong street allure, minus the travel!
